The Oberoi Amarvilas Agra - The hotel lies just 600 metres from one of the greatest wonders of the world. The Oberoi Amarvilas opened in January 2001 and is breathtakingly luxurious hotel. There is only one way to truly experience the Taj Mahal.
The challenge for Bombay-based architect Prabhat Patki was to create a haven that would reflect the exotic grandeur of the monuments around them. The aim was to provide guests with every modern service in luxury and comfort, while adhering to strict planning laws.
He succeeded. Straight out of an Indian fairytale, The Oberoi Amarvilas - Sanskrit for ‘Eternal Haven’ - is set among lush and serene Mughal-inspired pools and terraced gardens. Ancient and traditional Persian and Moorish influences combine with the very best in modern Indian interior design.
